Finance Officer

Role Overview:

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the overall financial health and credit position of the company and its principals. The role supports internal operations and external client services by overseeing mortgages, refinancing, credit monitoring and repair, mortgage brokering, portfolio and entity management, financial projections, and debt negotiations. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Mortgages, Lines of Credit, Loans, and Refinances

  • Apply for all available types of financing as indicated by the CEO and support underwriting efforts with associated brokers/lenders/clients through completion of financing
  • Manage the full cycle from application to closing.


2. Credit Monitoring & Repair

  • Monitor and improve the credit profiles of all persons/entities as indicated by CEO.
  • Work closely with credit repair personnel to facilitate credit improvement.
  • Monitor and report on credit balances, usage, and scores. Keep a working file of credit reports, maintenance of scores for all persons/clients.
  • Keep a running log of all credit activity on all associated credit accounts.


3. Mortgage Brokering

  • Obtain and maintain an NMLS number to support mortgage brokerage activities.
  • Conduct underwriting assessments for loans.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive Lender/Broker Catalogue detailing loan programs, LTVs, exceptions, rates, terms, and key guidelines.
  • Manage title coordination internally and for client transactions.


4. Portfolio and Equity Management

  • Track, update, and report on partner equity distributions/shares.
  • Communicate regularly with shareholders about portfolio movements and changes.
  • Make all changes/directives to equity shares and work with Contract Management to officiate changes.


5. Entity Management

  • Handle the creation and dissolution of new corporations and business entities, including LARA filings and securing EINs.
  • Offer business entity setup services to clients.
  • Process all associated filings for all entities according to state regulations.


6. Personal Financial Statement (PFS) and Net Worth Management

  • Maintain and regularly update PFS and SREO documents for associated Shareholders and clients.
  • Ensure all records are accurate and securely maintained.


7. Financial Projections

  • Develop financial forecasts based on property acquisition plans, refinancing, HELOCs, and construction funds.
  • Prepare detailed income and expense projections for various financial scenarios.


8. Lender Relations

  • Maintain regular communication and updates with all active lenders.


9. Debt Negotiation

  • Lead debt resolution strategies for Shareholders, credit partners, and clients via Credit Monitoring and Credit Repair operations.
  • Develop solutions to improve financial standing and credit profiles.
